Overview

Express Entry was launched in Canada in January 2015. It is an online system which is used to manage the applications of permanent residency of skilled workers. Interested individuals are required to create a profile and submit necessary documents as mentioned in the application. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (“IRCC”) allots Comprehensive Ranking System (“CRS score”) to every candidate based on age, work experience, education and English and/or French proficiency test.  Candidates from the Express Entry Pool are sent invitations to apply for Permanent Residency to Canada based on their CRS score and the CRS Score cut off. Express Entry draws are usually declared every two weeks on Wednesday, though IRCC has not set any schedule for these draws.

Invitations to apply

3,600 candidates were issued Invitation to Apply (“ITA”) on November 13th, 2019 with the CRS score cut off at 472 points. The CRS score decreased by 3 points according to the previous draw held on October 30th, 2019. Total number of 75,300 candidates have been invited to Canada in 2019. November 13th draw was the 130th draw since the beginning of Express Entry.
